JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION:
Commercial Credit Analyst
REPORTS TO: Credit Department Manager
JOB SUMMARY: Performs analysis of moderately complex commercial loan requests. Identifies key strengths and weaknesses and provides a recommended risk rating and alternative loan structure when necessary, while noting any deviations from loan policy. Assists with the preparation and scheduling of annual loan reviews. Prepares certain Board Loan Committee reports and other reports as needed. Assists the Credit Department Manager with various Loan & Credit Department duties as needed.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
- 1. Assist with tracking, preparing & scheduling credit presentations
a. Maintain pipeline report of credits submitted for analysis
b. Spread business and personal financial statements for further analysis
c. Summarize existing borrower relationship with Bank
d. Document collateral values for existing and proposed loans
e. Perform moderately complex commercial credit analysis and consumer credit analysis on a limited basis.
g. Assist with the compilation and distribution of weekly Officer Loan Committee packets.
- 2. Prepare and assist with preparing various reports for the Loan & Credit Departments.
- 3. Maintain financial statement history for existing customers and assist with the collection of current financial information for annual credit reviews.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES:
- 1. Manage credit bureau reporting responsibilities
a. Submit credit bureau file once per month to repositories
b. Research and respond to customer credit bureau disputes
- 2. Assist with the preparation of the quarterly ALLL Narrative
- 3. Assist with gathering information requested by auditors/examiners during bank examinations
- 4. Maintain Visa account reporting and delinquencies
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Required:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or other
Business related field
Experience:
Required: 1-2 years of commercial credit/lending experience
TECHNICHAL SKILLS:
Must have developed knowledge of credit and financial analysis techniques and capable of prioritizing workload and meeting multiple deadlines simultaneously. Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word. Must possess effective oral, written, and organizational skills.
ADA REQUIREMENTS:
Work is performed in a normal office setting; however, one must be able to concentrate and perform work in an area that will likely result in the interruptions of one’s duties. May be required to lift items weighing up to 15-25 lbs.
